Breakbot - Fantasy (ft. Ruckazoid)

The vocalist may be edging a bit too close to MJ’s signature sound here, but it’s no matter. The chorus of this song has weaved its way inside my head and isn’t escaping any time soon.

$Went out to my local record store today and picked this up - decided I needed another compilation of songs so that I could get into a bunch of new artists. If you’re a fan of Daft Punk or Breakbot or other french-touch sounding music, then I can recommend this to you. Bang Gang is an Australian record label comprised of a bunch of artists who compose indie dance music, and a lot of it sounds super funky and Daft Punk-inspired. I managed to get this for AU$15, but you might be able to find it some places for cheaper. It was released in 2009 so it’s not likely to be as expensive as most new releases. Inside, you’ll get two discs. The first one has 17 tunes from various Bang Gang artists, while the second is a mixtape by DJs Doom & Hoodrat, featuring 26 more tunes and remixes. I’d already heard of a bunch of the artists from this release - possible the most famous included on here are the Bag Raiders. But there’s a bunch of other artists too with decent sounds, such as Shazam, Cassian, ZZZ, Gloves and many more.
